Jody Forsyth Managing Partner

Jody co-founded Annapolis in 2006 and assists in the overall strategic management of the firm and its investment funds. Jody also serves as the firm’s chief compliance officer and, as such, oversees the firm’s back-office operations. Jody currently represents Annapolis on the board of directors of Astara Energy Corp. Prior to joining Annapolis, Jody was a member of the management teams of a number of start-up private oil and gas companies where he focused primarily on the structuring and managing of equity financings, corporate sale transactions, and corporate governance matters.

Jody earned a B.Sc. (mathematics) and Dip. Eng. in 1985 and an LL.B. and M.B.A. in 1989, all from Dalhousie University. Jody completed an LL.M. in 2008 at Osgoode Hall Law School. Jody currently sits on the Board of Trustees (and the executive committee thereof) of the College of William & Mary Foundation and is a director (and Vice Chair) of the 1693 Partners Fund, the endowment of the College of William & Mary, both in Williamsburg, Virginia.
